Club Crochet's 2021 Calendar

Welcome to the 2021 calendar! This year might have been the most creative round up of new patterns and kits I’ve ever had, not to mention some of the huge steps forward for the site, and myself!

Some highlights this year were definitely the birb takeover, our amazing Earth Day Collaboration, and some of the most detailed patterns I’ve ever made with the Dragon and Carnivorous Plant ending out the year. This year was Club Crochet’s 4th birthday and for the first time ever thanks to the support of the community through memberships, kits, and donations, I was FINALLY able to quit my full time job and work Club Crochet 100%!!!

Below you’ll find a fancy calendar I made to track our progress through the year, you can follow the line all the way down the rainbow road through all the new patterns and kits that were made for each month through the year. Further down you’ll find a detailed breakdown for each month, looking at exactly what was made!

If you were able to support through a membership you’ll definitely recognize these as the kits that you received each month! We’ve got a pretty amazing year planned out for 2022, so if you want to join the club there’s never a better time than the present! Get a Pro Membership to get monthly kits and help support the site!

Thank you all so much for your support and being with me throughout another whirlwind of a year. So excited to see what’s in store for Club Crochet next!!

Thanks for reading,
-Louie

~ January ~

The year started out just after the discovery of birbs, and I was so excited about these new little dudes that I came out with 3 new birb patterns! We also made a french duck birb named Monsiour Quak on the livestreams that is one of my favorites from the year!

~ February ~

In February we got a little cheeky and cute, as I usually do since it’s got Valentines day, my girlfriend and mom’s birthday, and my anniversary! For this month we made some new mini hearts with a super simple beginner pattern, and an adorable fan favorite for the monthly kit, the Sea Otter with magnets in the hands to hold onto each other with!

March launched us into the start of our space race! We made tooons of new space patterns, from moons, space men, and the planet earth, to mini stars to fill in the galaxy! Our kit this month was our under-rated rocket ship night light! It came with the wire and lights to actually make it a night light!

~ April ~

In April we were continuing our space theme with a new UFO and Alien pattern! The ship actually inverts the window to leave a place for the Alien to actually ride in it! This month also started the series of Endangered Animals for our Crochet for Earth Day celebration which raised over $5000 for the World Wildlife Fund! More about that in the next month though…

~ May ~

At the end of April and into May we were doing our big Earth Day celebration to raise money for the World Wildlife Fund! Together with 2 other amigurumi artists, Sir Purl Grey and Lemon Yarn Creations, we made 3 unique animals each themed after a different endangered creature! All the proceeds from pattern sales for these patterns and the kits went to the fund and we raised over $5000!! The fund is still going on if you want to purchase the patterns, and we’ll be doing another one in 2022!

We also made some Squid Amigurumi with a new no sew pattern, and even added a new Seagull Birb to the birb library!

We also crocheted a new rocket type to add to the space theme which the livestream decided to call the S.S. Lavender Dreams! We also made a new tutorial to outline a few ways to make the Magic Loop Method to make it the easiest way possible!
