01Skull

[Starting in White]
Ch 2 or use the magic loop method

Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook or into magic loop (6)

Rnd 2: Rnd 2: [sc 3 in the first st, inc (sc 2) in next, sc 1 in last] repeat 2 times total (12)

Rnd 3: sc 1, inc 3, sc 3, inc 3, sc 2 (18)

Rnd 4: sc in each st (18)

Rnd 5: sc 10, split*

*Pull through with a second loop of Black yarn,
With White loop: Working in FLO, sc 2, leave loop here and go back to Black loop (2)
With Black loop: Working in BLO, sc 2. Cut a long end and pull through, go back to the White loop (2)

With White loop: sc in both loops of the next 3 sts (around the Black strand to hide it), split* (repeat from *)

With White loop: sc in both loops of the next st (around the Black strand to hide it). (Total: 18 [+4])

Rnd 6: sc 9 {W}, BLO sc 1 {W}, sc 2 {B}, sc 3 {W}, sc 2 {B}, BLO sc 1 {W} (18)

For color changes with Color/Color (ex: Red/Blue), make the first pull through with the first color (Red), and next with the second color (Blue) so that Red is on top and Blue is on bottom.

Rnd 1: sc 10 {W}, sc 2 {W/B}, sc 1 {W}, BLO sc 1 {B}, sc 1 {W}, sc 2 {W/B}, sc 1 {W} (18)

Rnd 8: sc 1, invdec 1, sc 1, invdec 1, sc 1, invdec 1, sc 1, BLO sc 1, sc 2 {All W}, sc 2 {B/W}, sc 1 {W}, BLO sc 2 {W} (15)

Rnd 9: dec 3, sc 1, split*

*Pull through with a second loop of White yarn,

With 1st White loop: Working in FLO, sc 8 leave loop here and go back to 2nd White loop (8)

With 2nd White loop: Working in BLO, dec 4. Cut the yarn and pull through, go back to the 1st White loop (4)

Using an extra strand of White yarn embroider around the sides of the eye sockets and over the top of the nose hole to emphasize the surrounding bone. See video for exact stitches to work around.

Rnd 10: With 1st White loop from Rnd 9 and working around the end of 2nd loop, dec 2

Cut, stuff, and sew together using the inside sts (there should be 6)

  1. This pattern is really fun. Gonna make one in reversed colors, but there may have been a mistake at round 8. Are you sure it’s supposed to be B/W, and not W/B like in the previous row?

  2. I love this pattern. Made one and & had to make 4 more immediately because my friends and family want them. LOL. I will say that if you are making them in bulk like I am, it increases your speed a little.

  3. First one I needed the video on love the finished product. Don’t do much on social so can’t share a pict with you though
