The Pattern

01Pirate Hat
[All in Main Color]
Magic loop
Rnd 1: sc 6 in the magic loop (6)
Rnd 2: [sc 1, inc] repeat 3 times (9)
Rnd 3: [sc 2, inc] repeat 3 times (12)
mp = Mini Picot (ch 2, slst into the back loop of the first ch made)
Rnd 4: slst 1, turn, ch 1, skip the ch and slst, working into the BLO, sc 1, hdc 1, dcinc 2, hdc 1, sc 2, hdc 1, dcinc 2, hdc 1, sc 1 (16)
This last sc is worked into the same stitch you made a slst into at the beginning.
Rnd 5: starting in the first sc from Rnd 4, [sc 3, inc 2, sc 3, mp] repeat 2 times (20 + 2 mp)
Slst in next st, cut the yarn leaving a long end, hide the end and weave through to the brim of the hat. Sew onto your amigurumi using the FLO stitches from Rnd 3.
You can embroider on a line of detail across the edge of the hat (stitches from Rnd 5) using yarn of a different color. I personally like using gold.
To add a skull, cut one out using white felt. I personally like using felt with a sticky backing so I don’t have to hot glue it onto my hat. See video at (29:45) for detailed instructions.
02Eye Patch
[All in Main Color]
Magic loop
Rnd 1: Working in the magic loop, sc 2, hdc 1, sc 2, hdc 1 (6)
Slst in first st made, cut and pull through. Use the two tail ends, come out through the hdc stitches and sew over an eye, going around the back of the amigurumi, and double knotted together in the back. The method for this depends entirely on what your eyepatch is being sewn onto.
