Easier Pattern

I recorded this video twice, making one video with the more complicated pattern including the color changes on the belly and the spikes along the back, and one with just the basic version of the body.

  1. Made a couple of these little guys now. I was new to colour change the first time and along with the special stiches, it took me quite awhile. Still not at an hour and I needed the video for a couple of the rows, but it was much easier this time. Thanks for the vids to go along with the text. They are awesome!

  2. My friend asked for an army of dinosaurs and I’ve been loving your patterns! I just finished my t-rex and did a triceratops and a brotosaurus yesterday. If ever you want a challenge I’m missing a pterodactyl for my army 😉 Great patterns, great video. Learned a new amazing way to color change thank you so so much Louie

  3. Greetings from Denmark – just finish this little guy – Love him, he is so cute! Did post a pic on Instagram, #clubcrochet 🙂

  4. hi Louie!! thanks for this wonderful pattern I am already knitting it for my nephew, the explanation is detailed I loved it. Greetings from Argentina

  5. Hey Louie!
On a totally unrelated note, I just signed up for a pro membership. So, any chance that you will be mailing to Malaysia soon?

  6. Hey Louie!
I had an idea on customizing the T-Rex pattern: maybe you could make a Carnotaurus? I had this idea:
To make one, you could crochet the dino in dark red (with normal/bright red tummy and spikes) and add two of these horns just over each eye:
    Pattern for Horns:
(all in dark brown) Make 2:
Chain 3, skip the first chain, sc2tog in the next two stitches.
Chain 1, pull yarn through and sew one above each eye.

  7. Okay. . BODY working on the foundation row, last stitch should have 2 stitches in it, not 3 to equal the right stitch count. Round 10 arms are missing a sl st. Ch 2, slip stitch into second chain, repeat, slip stitch in base chain. Also the arm should start in stitch 4, not 5, so sc 3, arm, then the stitch counts will come out right. Eyes placed in 3rd st from nostrils?
Where is the pattern for the spines? I did a surface crochet of anchor, ch 1 HDc in stitch and then sl st. Fasten off and sew excess strand into body and trim off.
