Ch 1, cut the yarn and pull through leaving a long enough end to sew onto the head after making the hair.
After sewing onto the head add a small gem using Blue yarn in the center.
02Shoulder Pads
[All in Gold]
Ch 4, cut and pull through leaving a long enough end to sew over the arms (bo stitches in Rnd 10).
Add detail onto the chest by embroidering using the tail ends. Double knot on the inside.
03Chest Amulet
[All in Gold]
Ch 2, cut and pull through.
Sew onto chest between shoulder pad details. Double knot on the inside.

[All in Sand]
Ch 3
Work only into the back loops of the chs, skip the first ch, sc in the next 2 chs (2)
Cut the yarn, ch 1 and pull through.
05Head
[Starting in Y]
Ch 2 or use magic loop method
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook or into magic loop (6)
Rnd 2: inc in each st around (12)
Rnd 3: [sc 1, inc] repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4: sc in each st (18)
Rnd 5: sc in each st (18) [6 S, 12 Y]
Rnd 6: sc in each st (18) [7 S, 10 Y, 1 S]
Rnds 7-8: sc in each st (18 x 2) [All S]
Color Changes:
For color changes with Color/Color (ex: 1 Red/Blue), make the first pull through with the first color (Red) and the next with the second color (Blue)
Rnd 9: sc in each st (18) [1 S, 2 P/S, 3 S, 2 P/S, 2 S, 2 P/S, 3 S, 3 P/S]
Add hair, crown, ears, and eyes.
06Adding Hair
Start with a long strand of Yellow yarn folded in half and thread the yarn on a needle.
Now, starting from the inside, carefully embroider on the yarn. I usually choose stitches that are directly next to each other to enter and exit the piece. This not only minimizes the yarn used, but it also makes it so you don’t have to keep reaching in and out of the piece.
Make the opposite entrances and exits for the yarn along where the part in the hair should be. For Zelda, I start from the color change from Rnd 4 to 5 and pull the yarn towards the back. Cover the entire head (all the Yellow stitches) and double knot the two ends together on the inside.
Once the hair is on, sew on the crown across the head.
Add braids on the side of the head and a pony tail in the back (you’ll have to add the pony tail after Rnd 13). Wrap the braids and pony tail in white yarn which can be tied on the inside.
07Adding Face
Both eyes go in Rnd 7
The right eye goes in stitch 2, and the left goes in stitch 6.
Add eyeliner to the eyes using a strand of Black yarn.
Add ears to the side of head.
08Body (Cont'd from Head)
Bobble Stitch:
1. Yarn over, insert hook into stitch
2. Yarn over and pull through
3. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops
4. Repeat steps 1 - 3 four times total
5. Yarn over and pull through all the
loops on the hook
For color changes in Bobble Stitches:
[Blue/Red/Green] = [Step 3/Step 1/Step 2]
Rnd 10: bo, sc 7, bo, sc 9 (18) [1 S/W/W (bo), 3 P, 1 W/P, 3 P, 1 S/W/W (bo), 4 P, 1 W/P, 4 P]
Rnd 11: sc in each st (18) [2 P, 2 W/P, 1 Bl/W, 1 W, 2 W/P, 3 P, 2 W/P, 2 W, 3 W/P]
Rnd 12: Working in FLO, [sc 2, inc 1] repeat 6 times (24) [5 W, 3 W/Bl, 16 W]
Rnd 13: Working in BLO from Rnd 11, sc in each st (18) [All W]
Add shoulder pads, amulet, and pony tail.
[All W from here on]
Rnd 14: [sc, dec] repeat 6 times (12)
For regular end:
Rnd 15: dec in each st (6)
Cut the yarn, stuff, and sew closed.
Rnd 15: [sc 2, invdec] repeat 3 times (9)
Rnds 16-18: sc in each st (9 x 3)
Rnd 19: [sc, invdec] repeat 3 times (6)
Cut the yarn, stuff, and sew closed.
Now stuff it into the body. This may take a bit of tweaking to get all the way in.

Im watching ;). Actually this is my second attempt of Zelda. So I have watched twice lol
I did it! I finished Zelda because I have a daughter and son-in-law who give each other Zelda gifts every year for the last 10 years. This year, they had their first baby, and I decided Zelda finger puppets were the best way to celebrate Christmas long distance during Covid 19 lockdown. I finished a bokoblin first. I hope Zelda really is the hardest one, because Link is next, and I am a bit frustrated after struggling through the color changes!
