Ch 2 or use magic loop method

Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook or into magic loop (6)

Rnd 2: inc in each st (12)

Rnd 3: [sc 1, inc] repeat 6 times (18)

Rnds 4-7: sc in each st (18 x 4)

Rnd 8: sc 5, bo, sc 7, bo, sc 4 (18)

Rnd 9: sc in each st (18)

{} = Worked into the same stitch

Rnd 10: Working in the FLO from Rnd 9, [sc 1, {hdc 1, sl.st 1}] repeat 9 times (27)

Add eyes into Rnd 6 between the arms (bobble stitches).

Embroider on a mouth between the eyes using black yarn.

Rnd 11: Working in the BLO from Rnd 9, [sc 1, dec] repeat 6 times (12)

Stuff slightly.

Rnd 12: dec in each st (6)

Cut the yarn and pull through, stuff fully and sew closed

  2. Hi! I love this pattern: so adorable, so simple! Is it possible to make this bigger to sort of be like a plushie? I’m a beginner, but definitely a little experienced, so I’m not really sure how to go about adjusting patterns to fit what I’d like to do. Any tips on that? Thanks!

    • Bigger hook, bigger yarn and/or adding in a few more rows of the increase stitches. Those are all ways to make your project bigger. :0)

      • Ah thank you! I’ve tried adding a few more rows and also using bigger yarn/hook, but it ends up curling up 🙁 I’m going to try again with even bigger yarn/hook! haha thank you again 🙂
