Pikmin (Rough Draft)

Hey there!

This is the first time I’m going straight from idea to rough draft on the site to test out, so there’s a good chance something could be wrong. I’ll also be updating it soon with added parts like the leaves, buds, and flowers, as well as ears for the yellow Pikmin!

Please provide feedback about the simplicity of the explanation and any advice you might have on how to make it even slightly better. I plan on releasing this soon, since the new game was released on phones.

Also (obviously) let me know if you find any mistakes in the pattern in the comments as well as any opinions you may have about it. Were there any places you need additional help on? That you feel are explained incorrectly or tediously? Any feedback is welcome!

Thanks!

  1. Are you sure that for row two of the ears you work into the chains? Feels like that might be a typo, but some patterns do that.

  2. Just finished making the 3rd variation of the Picmin. Suggestion: Pipe Cleaners in the tip and possibly neck? Since I was working in acrylic, my little guys didn’t have enough structure to hold up their heads or their little toppers. I used a pipe cleaner, divided. One half folded and twisted for the stem, and the other half twisted and folded twice (so a quarter in length) for the neck.

  3. Tr has no abbreviation on the list! I assume it’s a triple crochet?

I used 6mm eyes instead of 8mm I don’t know if this is a typo?

I added an extra round of single crochets on the legs and before I decreased on the body as they didn’t seem long enough for me (just a personal thing for me)

I guessed where to add the arms and legs but I know you’ll cover that in a video

Please add the purple pikmins hair soon I have no clue how to do it
