Rnd 1: sc 6 into the magic loop (6)

Rnd 2: inc in each (12)

Rnd 9: inc in each (12)

Add a face into Rnd 6 with six sts apart. See next page for adding a mouth.

Rnd 10: inc in each (12)

Cut the yarn, pull through, and stuff fully. Sew closed using the front loops of all the sts around.

To add a face I like to start with the mouth, then add eyes using safety eyes on either end of the edges of the mouth 1 stitch away. I personally like adding my face centered on the mochi body in Rnd 6.

Kawaii Cat Mouth

1. Start by exiting from where you want the edge of your mouth. And insert into where the center would be to create a horizontal bar

2. From there exit from where you’d like the opposite edge, and insert back into the center, creating a second horizontal bar.

3. Now we’ll be making the "W" curve. Exit from where you’d like the apex of the closest cheek.

4. Go around that closest horizontal bar, and back into the same stitch you exited to pull into a point.

5. Exit from where you want the opposite side curve and repeat this for the other horizontal bar.

6. Make sure to tweak the W into more of a curve to get that kitty cat cheek look, before knotting on the inside.
